My time at the Shawn M. Donnelley Center for Nonprofit Communications has been the most rewarding chapter of my college journey. It’s not just where I worked; it’s where I found my purpose. Over two years, I’ve had the privilege of managing campaigns, building relationships with incredible nonprofits, and leading a team of peers who taught me as much as any client ever could.

At the Donnelley Center, I learned that PR isn’t just about the work—it’s about the why. Helping nonprofits like the A’sani Heartbeat Foundation and The Emma Bell Foundation has shown me how communication can amplify voices, provide resources, and create real impact for people who need it most. Every project was a chance to tell stories that matter and to remind myself why I love this field.

Being PR Director wasn’t just a title for me—it was where I learned, grew, and became a leader. The late nights, the challenges, and the wins were all worth it because they weren’t just for me; they were for the missions we supported.
